Ok. So. I've had major computer trouble for a while. My mouse had been broken for some time last year, during which, instead of just buying a new one right away, I for some reason just wrote a program to control the mouse with the keyboard. It was slow and hard to control. I eventually got a new mouse, the Razer Lachesis, which is awesome. Soon after finally getting that, my internet stopped working after installing a video game which locked up a few times. Ok... so I boot my computer into Safe Mode, and internet works again. But sound doesn't. And neither does Photoshop and several other programs. I'm forced to listen to the limited selection of music on my MP3 player (the program to send music to that isn't working) and stuff I normally don't like on the radio. (I like my iRiver model: [link]) So, months later, I buy a new computer. Or, rather, a bunch of pieces of a new computer. I've put together computers before, no problem. But it kept overheating. And the pins on the CPU Fan were so hard to get off/on that it took me a couple months to bother putting on the right amount of Thermal Paste. So, today, I finally got that done, and am currently installing Windows XP, which takes several da-er, I mean, hours. Good. Now maybe I'll be able to get some stuff done. Assuming the technology gods don't send a biblical plague my way or something.

I have two computers set up now. (One installing XP.) Both can support two monitors (well, one can't, because that doesn't work in Safe Mode, either), but none of my monitors match. (I have 4 monitors, somehow, two are flat screen but one of them is wide, and the other two are old-style, one black and the other white.) I have a neat desk to sit them on. ([link] but brighter colors) I currently have only one mouse and keyboard, but plan on buying the Razer Lycosa and another mouse soon, maybe this weekend or so.
